Australasian Blistering Diseases Foundation

The Australasian Blistering Diseases Foundation, provides education, support, research and advocacy for people with blistering skin diseases.

Professor Dedee Murrell is a world leader in Dermatology specialising in rare blistering diseases. Professor Murrell is invited to lecture at conferences around the world on Genetic and Auto Immune Blistering Diseases including Epidermolysis Bullosa, Bullous Pemphigoid, Pemphigus Vulgaris, Pemphigus Foliaceous, Linear IGA Bullous Disease and Mucous Membrane Pemphigoid and many more.

Professor Murrell has developed EB and AIBD specific tools that are used throughout the world for academic journals papers and clinical trials, including the QOLEB Quality of Life in Epidermolysis Bullosa, the ABQOL Autoimmune Bullous Quality of Life and the TABQOL Treatment Autoimmune Bullous Quality of Life.

The ABDF holds the license for these tools and has them validated in many different languages and as such works with research companies worldwide on new and exciting research into blistering diseases.

The ABDF provides funding of research projects into the cause, diagnosis and treatment of blistering diseases.
